Position Overview: As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our manufacturing processes. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, you will collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to assess critical part features and drive improvements to support efficient and cost-effective production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine critical part features and assess manufacturability of designs.
  • Provide quality engineering support to operations, ensuring consistent application of quality techniques.
  • Resolve quality issues related to capability, tolerancing, and materials, utilizing problem-solving techniques.
  • Communicate and reinforce the company’s commitment to quality improvement efforts.
  • Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure product excellence before production release.
  • Facilitate Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) where necessary and lead root cause analysis for effective corrective action.
  • Coordinate with various departments (Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Production, Toolroom) to resolve supplier concerns and enhance quality systems.
  • Define, manage, and report on production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using appropriate measurement analysis tools.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to the quality system for improved performance and increased customer satisfaction while reducing costs.
  • Conduct supplier audits, report results, and support ongoing communication/reporting of performance.
  • Analyze product and process performance for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain, manage, and improve the Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) system, including allocation of tasks as part of MRB review.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality techniques and processes.
  • Proficient in problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with supplier audits and quality system enhancements.
