Salary: £60,000 per annum
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain SC Clearance having lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years
About the Role:
As the Test Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing test procedures for electromechanical systems, ensuring they meet technical requirements and standards. You will interpret technical specifications, recommend appropriate test strategies, and lead a team in designing and fault-finding electromechanical equipment. Your expertise will ensure the reliability and performance of complex defence systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce test procedures for electromechanical systems.
- Interpret technical requirements and recommend suitable test strategies.
- Design and fault-find electromechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret complex technical drawings, including wiring/PCB schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Utilize essential fault-finding and debugging equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of test procedures and strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technological advancements.
Key Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience in producing test procedures for electromechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and recommend appropriate test strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to design and fault-find electromechanical equipment.
- Proficiency in reading complex technical drawings, including wiring/PCB schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Familiarity with essential fault-finding and debugging equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes).
- Strong background in electrical/electronic and software disciplines with a sound understanding of mechanical principles.
